  Great grassy camping area. The amenities close, clean and tidy. And the bay views are pretty serene, but it gets really loud and noisy at night cuz of the pub near by. Had a quick encounter with this little fella

  The foreshore camping at Capel sounds it great, close to shops, bus stops, beach on your door step. Ammenities are kept clean and stocked with toilet paper, hand wash ect. Showers are nice and hot. Sites are a good size for a large caravan and annex, plus two Vehicles. Very happy with our stay here.

  I have camped at Capel sound for many, many years. Capel Sound is my happy place...I love my time there. I have made many friends. The beach is so safe, especially for little ones. Staff are friendly. New food shops have opened up across the road. Time goes by so quickly down there. I'm hoping to add on a couple of extra weeks next season.

  SO DISAPPOINTING! Just felt like a lot of money has been stolen from us!
  We had no other choice than booking there for the weekend but we're very excited about it anyway! We were not expecting anything outstanding with school holidays and AFL finals! Surprisingly that wasn't the problem at all!
  It wasn't busy at all! But amenities were disgusting, no access to the camp kitchen!
  The worst was definitely that we could have camp on the main road it would have been the same, they warn about the live music across the road but not about the traffic!
  Prices in these condition "could be OK off peak" but definitely not $59 a night!!!
  We struggled using the shower even though it's one of the reasons we booked a site and definitely didn't have a good night sleep!
  Many other reasons why not to stay there depending what you are sleeping in (noise, drains, safety, hygiene...)
  Unfortunately a rip off even though the area is lovely and the campground has a big potential!
  
  EDIT: To the owner who kindly replied to me.
  Thanks for your reply. We actually went to the office straight before setting up at 2pm but the office's door was locked and we couldn't find any info on when it would be open. Tried to call but no answer so we had to set up as it was starting to rain.
  I have tried to choose a site online when I booked but it wasn't working.
  I am sorry because it could be a lovely place far from the road but still not worth the $59 we have been charged.
